I had a brownie this evening (my daughter made them and I couldn’t say no) – it was the first real sweet I’ve had in just over a week now. I’m happy to report that it actually tasted TOO sweet for my “new” taste buds and has not set off any sugar cravings – in fact, quite the opposite. Promise to post weight & pics this week! Sorry for procrastinating!

I did much better today. The protein shake was excellent! I think I’m probably eating too much pepperoni. I know that beef jerky is recommended as a protein snack but it’s so expensive and the pepperoni is so much cheaper – and a lot more fattening 😦   But I guess you can only do what you can do – I will try to cut down, though.

My daughter was making dinner tonight, so I ate a light lunch. The pork chops were coated in oven-fry, so that was off the diet and I had a very small amount of the creamed corn & rice-a-roni so as not to hurt her feelings by having none. She was sweet enough to heat up some frozen mixed vegetables just for me. Had a great time and a great meal even though I was slightly off of my diet plan.

Did not do well today AT ALL. I went to the movies this afternoon (Abduction) and had to grab something to eat at the mall. I figured, out of all the available choices, that Chickfila was the best choice. I was feeling a bit lightheaded and dizzy too – I guess that was because I waited until 1:30 before eating anything at all. Anyway, the movie was so-so as was my diet today.

Didn’t do very well today. I skipped breakfast & dinner and pretty much snacked all day. I think I’m probably eating too many processed meats and too many almonds. I think I need to think about changing to two protein shakes a day, a healthy lunch & one snack or something like that. I was a little busier than usual today which is why my diet was so lousy – I need to work on taking care of myself first even when there are things going on in my life. I think that should be my number one priority. In fact, I read a good article on that this afternoon which was written by Colin Barnes on his website. He makes some very good points and suggestions for taking care of oneself even when it seems natural to put your health on the back burner while taking care of “more important” things.
