C B/C A A?
E—–8————5–5
B—–8————5–5
G—–9—-9——-6–5 substitute the A? (dont know what chord that is)
D—10—–10—–7—6 with a standard barred D chord
A—10—–10—–7—6
E—8——7——5—5

C B/C A A?
You gonna look fine, be primed for dancing

C B/C A D
You gonna trip and glide along the trembling plane

REPEAT OVER FOR REST OF SONG I THINK

Substitute the A? with a standard barred D chord when you get to the end of the second line ie
E-5
B-7
G-7
D-7
A-5
E–

I’ve noticed the two tabs you have on this wonderful song are close…but no cigar.
off, it’s gotta be played in open chords, definitely no barre chords. So here we go…

A—————-3——–2———————-0—-0——————|
E————————————————————————|

And wind and cars and people of the past
E—–0——–0——–3——3——0—————–| Marc plays dualing
B—–1——–1——–0——0——1—————–| solos (two tracks on
G—–0——–0——–0——0——0—————–| ROCK! top of each other).
D—–2——–2——–0——0——2—————–| My opinion is that you

E———————–3——3————————| just me.

So now you know what that mysterious A? chord is (don’t play a D chord
or that other chord A/A whatever). Rest of the song is just the same chords.
Enjoy – yours truly, the AXE MIESTER !

I’m talking ’bout night time
When the monsters call out
The names of men
Bob Dylan knows
And I bet Alan Freed did
There are things in night
That are better not to behold

You dance
With your lizard leather boots on
And pull the strings
That change the faces of men
You diamond browed hag
You’re a glitter-gaunt gangster
John Lennon knows your name

O.K., here’s a real easy but fun T. Rex tune from the “Electric
Warrior” album. I believe the LP had the lyrics, but my copy was
lost ages ago and I’ve had to rely on my ear and the CD (minus
printed lyrics, of course) for the words. There are three spots
where I just plumb DON’T KNOW what he’s saying, and I’ve indicated
these with question marks and nonsense words. If anyone has the
correct lyrics, please let me know.

Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love

Lyrics (as I hear them):

You’re so sweet, You’re so fine
I want you all and everything jit-jit (?) to be mine
Cause you’re my babe, cause you’re my love
Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love

You slide so good with bones (?) so fair
You’ve got the universe reclining in your hair
Cause you’re my baby, yes you’re my love
Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love

Just like a car you’re pleasing to behold
I’ll car you Jaguar if I may be so bold
Yes you’re my baby, yes you’re my love
Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love

Your wild wings glow upon your frozen cheeks
The way you flip your head (?) it always makes me weak
Cause you’re my baby, yes you’re my love
Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love

Your motivation is so sweet
Your vibrations are burning out my feet
Cause you’re my baby, yes you’re my love
Oh girl I’m just a jeepster for your love
I said girl i’m just a vampire for your love
And I’m gonna suck you

Notes: Marc Bolan occasionally plays A rather than A7 in the main
riff. He also sometimes uses Dsus4 in combination with the D in
the “I’m your babe…” part.

The version on “Electric Warrior” is in standard tuning. The version
in the “Born to Boogie” film is a half step higher.

Comments/corrections welcome.

O.K., here’s a real easy but fun T. Rex tune from the “Electric
Warrior” album. Lyrics should be close to correct thanks to
help from R.J. Campbell. As with my tab of “Baby Strange,”
this one was assisted by Marc Bolan himself by way of the
movie “Born to Boogie.”
