Music from Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I was searching for the names of songs/artists appearing at The Bronze on Buffy The Vampire Slayer (my all time favorite TV show) when I came across this video on YouTube. The video contains two of my favorite songs performed at The Bronze. The first song, “Overfire” is my very favorite – it’s a great song. The band is THC who appeared as Shy on Buffy. I just downloaded their album, Adagiofrom Amazon. which contains both of these songs, among others. I find the entire album to be very trance-inducing. I hope you enjoy the songs in the video below – I’m always on the lookout for new and/or obscure music to post on my blog!. As always, let me know what you think!

Jesse Cook – Rattle and Burn Live

I discovered this guy a few weeks ago on YouTube. I love his sound – excellent performance! I have since bought a “greatest hits” compilation from Amazon MP3. If you like great guitar music do yourself a favor and check him out.

If you would like to know a little more about him and his music, there is an informative article / biography on Wikipedia.

Beyonce Run The World (Girls) Video

My niece showed me this video on YouTube. I will admit that before seeing this, I didn’t really know much about Beyonce and was, therefore, not a fan. That said, I really love this video, and am now a Beyonce fan. Notice how it starts out with the world in chaos and ruins, and women are shown in cages and on crosses. Then, in rides the beautiful Goddess. Watch the closeup on her face which changes, as she slowly looks up, from beseeching to knowing… This is the ultimate “Girl Power” video. Check it out!

Metallica For Whom The Bell Tolls Cover – On Piano!

Take a listen to this. This is one of the coolest things I’ve heard – and it’s not the only one of its kind, either. This girl is totally awesome. Go to YouTube and check out her other “metal” piano covers and her original works too. Outstanding!

Explosions in The Sky – A Song for Our Fathers Video

I started listening to Explosions in The Sky after being turned on to 65daysofstatic a few years ago. I absolutely love this song! I could and do listen to this over and over again. The video is pretty cool too. Check it out and tell me what you think.

65DaysofStatic – Don’t Go Down to Sorrow Video

If you’ve never heard or heard of 65daysofstatic, then watch and listen to this video. I saw them in concert a couple of years ago in Philly when they opened for The Cure. They are fantastic and have opened me up to a whole new genre of music (Post Rock) which I now listen to a lot.
